As the ice melts and the sun returns to shine those 15 minutes more a day, we are launching new exciting events in Chester-Le-Street and Durham, which we hope will become regular. These include:
- A pop-up bike shop at Maiden Castle, Durham University. find us there today from 10am to 2pm to get a free safety check on your bike or buy a new one;
- Women on Wheels, our women-only bike maintenance courses to give you the confidence to ride and repair your bike; every 1st Wednesday of the month from 5:30 to 7:00 pm in our shop situated on Ropery Lane, Chester-Le-Street;
- Bite & Bike maintenance workshops for kids and young people aged 10-16, in partnership with the popular café Refuse in Chester-Le-Street; reserve a free spot on our Eventbrite page and learn the mysteries of bike maintenance with our friendly staff and volunteers.
And a special event for half-term, a 3-day course of bike maintenance for the whole family at Bullion Hall Community Centre, Chester-Le-Street. Join us from 10 to 11:30 am on February 22, 23, and 24 to learn how to do an M-check, change a wheel and inner tube and fix a puncture! We’ll get you sorted for the next family ride.
