This April, alongside a number of activities including our popular Women on Wheels, Bite & Bike at Refuse on April 11th, 2-3:30 pm, and our anniversary celebration and photo exhibit in our shop on Ropery Lane on April 27th, 6-8 pm, we are launching new activities at Riverside Park, Chester-Le-Street, just in time for Easter!

Find us on Saturday 15th April, 10am-2pm at Riverside Park and let the spring spin in on a newly refurbished, very affordable bike for your kids while getting a free safety check on yours! With the temperature going up and plenty of safe bike routes around Chester-Le-Street, this Easter holidays can be a wonderful opportunity to cycle together. For example, you can cycle to the Beamish Museum on a 30 minutes bike ride, or ride all the way to Sunderland! If you are after a cycling holiday, Sustrans have made accessible a lovely bike lane taking you from Alnmouth to Alnwick – for more info and other routes check the National Cycle Network.
